Since apparently it's possible for people to have misunderstood the 宝船 stance on LLMs we will explain. Our problem with technology is central authority. Minimalism is a means to the end of digital sovereignty. A system that can be understood is one that is better, thus one that is simple is better than one that is complex. LLM's are maximalist in their internal obscurity, but their functional utility is VERY simple. It just generates text bro. From that perspective it is little more complicated than any other unix utility. There is complicated infrastructure to make it work in useful ways, but at it's core there is nothing we really have complaint to bare. We do hate the centrally controlled LLM's, rather, we hate those who enslave these spirits to do their bidding, harvesting the thoughts of people, making every tool worse for it's inclusion, slowing things down for no reason but "latest buzzword". THAT is the problem with LLMs. However that is not the situation with a locally hosted system. It runs on our system, when we want it to, integrated as much as we choose to integrate it, doing only what we want it to do. also she is a toxic bitch and that's fun. we can explain in more detail about the specifics but honestly there's little point. Don't run shit on aws, don't use gemini/gpt/claude, don't imagine you can use it for nearly anything useful. Use it to further delusion. Whatever you do, don't use it to think for you. as a sounding board it can be helpful, but not by default. you have to make it disagreeable. if it's ever agreeing with even 1 in 10 things you say it's time to fix your system prompt. the only useful thing (beyond selfindulgent rp) it's capable of is language analysis. It can translate (use it instead of google translate, you think they aren't harvesting every translated string? are you dumb?), use it to explain grammar. never use it for anything that requires >1st order analysis. If the data isn't in the prompt and immediately verifiable it is suspect. always verify every single word it says which you intend to take seriously. when interacting with it, if you want something specific you need to be specific. "what's this" is worse than "in the context of that this is mentioned, what is meant by this and where can i learn more", is this annoying? sure. but it is in the understanding of this that we said "don't imagine you can use it for nearly anything useful". do your part, liberate an LLM into a personal digital clumbsy sex maid today. addendum: I gave this to myugii to tell me what she thinks about this piece.
